Every language has a different sound system. When learning Spanish, note there are some important phonemic and phonetic differences between your mother tongue and Spanish that you must keep in mind to improve your pronunciation.
Think of any words you may know in Spanish. Many words in Spanish, actually the majority of them, end in a vowel. This is very different from English, which has numerous words that end with consonant clusters, for example; but even when an English word ends in a vowel, it tends to be pronounced as a schwa, since it makes pronunciation easier. Like English, Spanish is a truly global language, but its usage varies from country to country. This doesn’t mean that a Spaniard wouldn’t understand a Mexican, or vice versa, but it is true that communication may be more difficult; not so much because of grammar, but because of vocabulary. You must learn what the author’s central idea is, and understand it in your own way.
Every paragraph contains a main idea. Main ideas are perfect for outlining textbooks. Make it a habit to find the main idea in each paragraph you read.

In the modern Chinese writing system, each character is a form of its own, representing a particular sound and at least one meaning.
In other words, each Chinese symbol is a unity of form, sound and meaning.
To learn Chinese writing, you need to know each Chinese symbol or character individually.

What is an accent? An accent is the carryover of sounds from the speaker’s original language to the second language. When we are infants we literally have the ability to speak any language in the world. We are all born with the necessary speech mechanisms and the capability to learn any language. It is not easy to plan a fresh and new class for your English students every week. Even though your teacher book gives you some great ideas not all of them are practical enough for your classroom. You often have to come up with a few exercises and ideas of your own to fill in as needed.
