Types of Social Work Degrees:
Social workers can earn three types of degrees, as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW): “A bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) degree is the most common minimum requirement to qualify for a job as a social worker; however, majors in psychology, sociology, and related fields may qualify for some entry-level jobs, especially in small community agencies. Nowadays, it is impossible to get a job without a post secondary degree. The reason being that everyone has a degree so employers view having a post secondary degree as the new bare minimum. A degree in higher education should therefore be your top priority after you graduate from highschool. In 1907, Maria Montessori founded the first Montessori school in Rome. Its overall purpose was to give four to seven year old children from low-income families a full-day educational program.
The idea quickly developed and grew in popularity and thus more Montessori schools were formed in Europe and India. It did not take long for the school method to cross over to the United States of America. Read full article »

Okay, so your child loves to watch television, play video games, surf on the Internet, and listen to music. And there’s nothing wrong with those activities, as long as they’re used in moderation.
